9.5.11 Changing iSCSI IP Address

The procedure to change the iSCSI IP address when using Storage Cluster for iSCSI connection environments varies depending on the target box and the status of the iSCSI IP address setting in both boxes before and after the change.

Work 1 and Work 2 listed in the above table are as follows. When both are required, perform in the order of Work 1 and then Work 2.

Work 1

Check whether the business server recognizes the post-change iSCSI IP address on the Primary Storage.
If it is not recognized, make the business server recognize the iSCSI IP address of the Primary Storage after the change.

Work 2

Take the following steps:

  1. Refer to "9.4.2.6 Manual Failover/Failback" to perform a Manual Failover.

  2. Make the business server recognize the iSCSI IP address of the Secondary Storage after the change.

  3. Refer to "9.4.2.6 Manual Failover/Failback" to perform a Manual Failback.
