Systemwalker Operation Manager Q & A Guide

2.1 Q: How Do I Test a Scheduled Job without Changing the system date and time of the Machine?

Applicable versions and levels

A

You can set a virtual time and check future scheduled operations by operating in test mode. Use the following procedure to set a virtual time and test a scheduled job.

  1. Select Start, and then click Systemwalker Operation Manager. From the displayed submenu, click Environment Setup to display the Systemwalker Operation Manager Environment Setup window. Click Startup parameter. The Define Jobscheduler Startup Parameters window will be displayed. In the Test mode tab, check Change the virtual time and specify any date and time.

  2. Restart the Jobscheduler server.

Note

When the date of the Jobscheduler server becomes later than the current year, all startup day information set in Startup Days for the job nets of the current year is deleted.

If you set a date later than the current year and then select Release the virtual time, startup day information for the current year is deleted.

Therefore, use the backup command (mpbko command) in advance to back up the environment.
