The return code in the program specified in the exec control statement of the job step becomes the completion code of that job step. For job steps that are not executed according to the execution conditions in the stepstart control statement, there is no completion code.
You can set job step delimiters (step name of job step and completion code) to be output to standard output for the job list by defining settings in the [Options] sheet of the [Define Operating Information] window.
