The PATH environment variable for searching job files can be set.
If you specify a path in the definition file that you want to add to the PATH environment variable, job files whose path is omitted are searched using this PATH environment variable.
This eliminates the need to specify the full path of the job file.
Definition procedure
Define the path that you want to add to the PATH environment variable on the server where the job is to be submitted. Use the following procedure to define it. If multiple subsystems are in operation, create one for each subsystem.
Note that only the system administrator can define the PATH environment variable.
Checking the Job Destination
Determine whether the target job is submitted to a local or network location.
Editing the PATH environment variable definition file
In the PATH environment variable definition file on the schedule server for local jobs or on the execution server for network jobs, use an editor such as vi or Notepad to specify the path you want to add to the PATH environment variable.
For details about how to specify the PATH environment variable definition file, where to store it, and notes, refer to the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide.
Note
Previous version compatibility (old, standard) (NORMAL) attributes for jobs in UNIX, the specification of the PATH environment variable definition file is invalid.
The setting takes effect immediately. Changes during operation, for example, require consideration of the impact.
