M.5.20 Behavior of the resource where the MonitorOnly attribute is set

Details on incompatibilities

If the resource becomes Faulted during Offline processing due to a switchover, the behavior of the userApplication changes.

Changes

Before upgrading [PRIMECLUSTER 4.3A20]

If the resource becomes Faulted during Offline processing due to a switchover, when the MonitorOnly attribute of the Faulted resource is No(0), the userApplication becomes Faulted and the cluster application is switched.

After upgrading [PRIMECLUSTER 4.7A00]

If the resource becomes Faulted during Offline processing due to a switchover, regardless of the setting of the MonitorOnly attribute of the Faulted resource, the userApplication becomes Faulted and the cluster application is switched.

Note

Set HaltFlag to yes for the userApplication to continue switching the userApplication even if the userApplication becomes Faulted during offline processing.

When HaltFlag is set for the userApplication, the Faulted node will be forcibly stopped and remain switched.
