C.1.2 FJQSS (Information Collection Tool)

Collecting Information by FJQSS (Information Collection Tool)

  1. Execute the following command:

    /opt/FJSVqstl/fjqss_collect
  2. The product selection menu appears. Input the number of the product of which you want to collect the information, then input "[Enter]".

    Select from the following product numbers:

    • PRIMECLUSTER Enterprise Edition

    • PRIMECLUSTER HA Server

    • PRIMECLUSTER Clustering Base

    • PRIMECLUSTER Lite Pack

    If GDS and GLS are installed, and the above selection is performed, the information for investigation of PRIMECLUSTER including those products will be collected at a time.

  3. Press the [Y] key according to the instruction in the prompt.

  4. After the FJQSS has completed the collection, the name of the output directory of the collected information appears.
    Verify that the information have been collected in the directory.

  5. The following file is created in the output directory of the collected information. Please send it to field engineers.

    resultYYYYMMDDHHMMSS.tar.gz
    (YYYYMMDDHHMMSS: time (year, month, day, hour, minute, and second) that the collection started)

When you see the FJQSS User's Guide, open the following file in the installation medium of the product by the browser.

Free space in the directory required to run the FJQSS (Information Collection Tool)

  • Check the FJQSS User's Guide for the size of the output directory and working directory required to run FJQSS (Information Collection Tool). If there is not enough free space, reserve free space or change the output directory to a directory with a large amount of free space, and then execute the command.

  • If you change FJQSS (Information Collection Tool) working directory, you cannot change the PRIMECLUSTER data collection working directory. Therefore, if you want to change the working directory, use the fjsnap or pclsnap commands.

  • In addition to the output directory and working directory listed in FJQSS User's Guide, PRIMECLUSTER uses the following directories. Check the free space in the following directory. If there is not enough free space, reserve some free space before executing the command.

    • Under /opt/SMAW/SMAWRrms

      Disk space:
      Temporarily use the following directories and files. Use the du command to calculate and estimate the size of the following directories and files.

      • /var/opt/SMAWRrms/log

      • /var/log/messages*

    • Under /var/opt/FJSVcluster/data/TRC

      Disk space:
      About 2MB

    • Under /var/opt/FJSVsfcfs/log

      Disk space:
      The GFS Shared File System to use
      Per 1 piece: 11.3 MB (Fixed)
      Maximum (10 pieces): 113 MB (Fixed)

    • Under /tmp

      Disk space:
      The GFS Shared File System to use
      Per 1 piece: 34.6 KB (Maximum)
      Maximum (10 pieces) : 346 KB (Maximum)
