Specification changes other than new features in the version 4.3A30 of this software are as follows.
The performance is changed when a physical disk to be registered with a class by the sdxconfig Restore command met one of the following conditions.
When a disk label of the physical disk is not created.
When a disk label type of the physical disk is different from a disk label type of a class which is described in the configuration file.
When one of the above conditions is met, the performance for restoring an object configuration of a class by the sdxconfig Restore command varies by the GDS version and applied patches.
For the patch for PG97489 is not applied to the GDS version 4.3A20 or earlier,
or the patch for PG97489 is not applied to the GDS version 4.3A30 (RHEL5)
An object configuration of a class can be restored by the sdxconfig Restore command.
For the patch for PG97489 is applied to the GDS version 4.3A20 or earlier,
or the patch for PG97489 is applied to the GDS version 4.3A30 (RHEL5),
or the GDS version 4.3A30 (RHEL6),
or the GDS version 4.3A40 or later
The sdxconfig Restore command will fail and the object configuration of the class cannot be restored. At this time, the error message 60380 will be output. For the error message 60380, see "C.4.1 Error Messages (60000-60499)."
By this change, you need to note for restoring an object configuration of a class in the system which uses the different GDS versions. For details, see "A.5 Backing Up and Restoring Object Configuration (sdxconfig)."
The File System Configuration screen of GDS Management View is stopped providing.
The warning message "5119" in the Volume Configuration screen is changed because the File System Configuration screen is no longer supported.
GDS 4.3A20 or earlier
5119 A file system has been configured on the selected volume. Remove the file system from the File System Configuration.
GDS 4.3A30 or later
5119 A file system has been configured on the selected volume. Remove the file system.
