7.18 Removing Errata Kernel

If an errata kernel has been removed in an environment where the system disk is mirrored, to update the grub.cfg file, execute the following command before restarting the system.

# grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/redhat/grub.cfg

If the grub2-mkconfig command is not executed, the system may not be started. For the resolution of this error, see "(6) System cannot be booted. (Removing errata kernel)" in "D.1.5 System Disk Abnormality [EFI]."

See

For details on the grub2-mkconfig command, see the OS manual.

Note

Do not remove the running errata kernel when the system disk mirroring was set. If the errata kernel is removed, no boot entry that can be started may exist on the boot option selection screen of the EFI boot manager.
