6.2 Using iSCSI Disk

The following tuning parameters can set the waiting time for the startup of GDS.

Parameter

Description

SDX_STARTUP_WAIT_TIME=time

The parameter sets the time (seconds) to wait for the iSCSI device to be recognized by the system.
The value is set to 1800 by default.
Values from 0 to 43200 can be specified.
If the value is set to 0, the waiting time is not set, either.

SDX_ISCSI_INTERVAL=time

The parameter sets the time interval (seconds) to check the iSCSI device when the system is started.
The value is set to 2 by default.
Values from 1 to 3600 can be specified.

How to set the tuning parameter
  1. Add the tuning parameter to the /etc/opt/FJSVsdx/sdx.cf file.

  2. After adding the parameter, restart the system. The setting is enabled after restarting the system.

Point

Generally, these tuning parameters are not necessary to be set.

Set the tuning parameters if the following message is output when the system is started.
