FUJITSU Software Agile+ Relief V1.1.1 ( floating license version )

Thank you for purchasing Agile+ Relief V1.1.1 (Will be abbreviated as Agile+ Relief hereafter).
This guide will describe how to use the product, and notes on using.
Before using this product, please make sure to read this guide.
In addition, for people who use the old version, please read the "Improvement Reference".
(After installation, you can refer to [Improvement Reference].)

*Notes: After install it, you may need to restart the computer.

1.1 Structure of Agile+ Relief

The structure of Agile+ Relief is as below.
  • Agile+ Relief
  • Agile+ Relief indication message viewer (Will be abbreviated as Indication message viewer hereafter)
  • Agile+ Relief C/C++
  • Agile+ Relief J

Notes
  • When Agile+ Relief is being executed, a license of Agile+ Relief C/C++ and Agile+ Relief J will be consumed according to the object being parsed.
  • Indication message viewer is not supported by Agile+ Relief J.
  • Agile+ Relief J cannot use an English version with Japanese OS.

1.2 License management

Agile+ Relief uses FlexNet Publisher of Flexera Software LLC. to manage the license.
This management system always monitors the number of licenses concurrently being used, and Agile+ Relief will not run if failed.
Running Agile+ Relief requires a license file supplied by our company to be set up properly in the license management system.

This license management system is called the License Server System hereafter.


1.3 Required Environment

The following environment is required for running Agile+ Relief.
  • License management server
  • Developer machine
  • Source consolidating server
In addition, the developer machine and source consolidating server are collectively called client machine.

2.1 Install to license management server

2.1.1 Installation precautions


  • About the ports to be used in the License Server System

    In the License Server System, for the processes of lmgrd.exe (lmgrd in the case of Linux) and FST.exe (FST in the case of Linux), two ports are used. By default, the following ports will be selected automatically for each process.
    Process Port
    lmgrd.exe (lmgrd in the case of Linux) A port within the range of 27000-27009 will be selected.
    FST.exe (FST in the case of Linux) A port will be selected by the operating system.


    In order to explicitly specify these ports, specify according to the following steps.

    1. Open the license file that is separately supplied by our company using the text editor.
    2. In the SERVER line, specify the port to be used in lmgrd.exe (lmgrd in the case of Linux). After SERVER, write the port number with a space at the front.
    3. In the VENDOR line, specify the port to be used in FST.exe (FST in the case of Linux). After VENDOR, write the port number in the form of PORT=port number with a space at the front.
    4. Save the file.

    *Please specify different port numbers for the SERVER and VENDOR lines.

2.1.2 In the case of Windows

2.1.2.1 Install License Server System

Install License Server System according to the following steps.


  1. Install CD-ROM settings into the license management server.

  1. Copying arlicensemgr.exe (self-extracting format) to an arbitrary folder in the Windows\License folder in the CD-ROM, and executing it will start the following files.

    • lmgrd.exe
    • FST.exe
    • FST.opt
    • lmutil.exe
    • lmtools.exe
    • fnp_LicAdmin.pdf
  1. Store the license file separately supplied by our company to the same folder as Step 2.



2.1.2.2 Set License Server System

Set License Server System according to the following steps.

  1. If the firewall protection is enabled in the license management server, change the firewall settings with one of the following methods.

    Method 1 : Specify the License Server System processes as an exception in the firewall. (Recommended)

    Register lmgrd.exe and FST.exe installed in 2.1.2.1 Install License Server System as exceptions in the firewall.

    Method 2 : Specify the port to be used in the License Server System as an exception in the firewall.
    1. Refer to About the ports to be used in the License Server System to explicitly specify the port to be used in the License Server System.
    2. Register the specified port as an exception in the firewall.
  1. Execute lmtools.exe installed in 2.1.2.1 Install License Server System and start the license server manager.
  1. From the [Mode] menu, select [Configuration using Services].

  1. Select the [Config Services] tab.

  1. Input "Agile+ Relief License Service" in [Service Name].

  1. Input the file path name of lmgrd.exe installed in 2.1.2.1 Install License Server System in [Path to the lmgrd.exe file].

  1. Input the file path name of the license file in [Path to the license file].

  1. Input the file path name of the debug log in [Path to the debug log file].
    The execution log of the License Server System is output to this file.
    Input an optional file name since it is not specified.
    "C:\ProgramData\AgilePlusReliefLog\ARLicense.log" is inputted as an example here.

    Notes
    • Specify the folder that belong to System drive\ProgramData for the folder portion of the file path name that is inputted in [Path to the debug log file]. (recommendation)
      When the folder that does not belong to System drive\ProgramData is specified, the following warning is shown.
          Windows preferred path <SystemDrive>\ProgramData to store service data is not set.
    • Specify the existing folder for the folder portion of the file path name that is inputted in [Path to the debug log file]
      . If the folder does not exist, then create it in advance.

  1. Check off [Use Services] to register the service.
    Check off [Start Server at Power Up] to start the service when the system starts.

  1. Click [Save Service] to save the settings.
  1. Open Windows services to start "Agile+ Relief License Service".

    Notes
    The service does not start in a part of the operating environment of the license management server.
    In that case, please change the logon account of service from "Local Service" to "Local System account" on the [Log On] tab and start again the service.

2.1.2.3 Check License Server System status

Check whether the installed License Server System runs normally according to the following steps.

  1. Start Command Prompt and run the lmutil.exe installed in 2.1.2.1 Install License Server System in the following command line format.

    lmutil.exe lmstat -a -c LicenseFilePath

    Notes   If there are many active users, lots of network computation occurs in the lmutil command.
                 Execute when there are few active users.
  1. Check the following message is displayed.

    The port number for port, the server host name for host and the file path name to the license file for license file path will be displayed.
    Below is an example.

    License server status: port@host
    License file(s) on host : license file path

    host : license server UP (MASTER) v11.17.0

    Vendor daemon status (on host ):

2.1.3 In the case of Linux


2.1.3.1 Install License Server System

Install License Server System according to the following steps.

  1. Install CD-ROM settings into the license management server.

  1. Copy arlicensemgr_i386.tar.gz(32bit OS) or arlicensemgr_x64.tar.gz(64bit OS) located in the Linux/License directory in the CD-ROM to an arbitrary directory, and extract it with the following command.

       Example) tar zxf arlicensemgr_i386.tar.gz

    The following files will be expanded.

    • lmgrd
    • lmutil
    • FST
    • FST.opt
    • fstlm
    • fnp_LicAdmin.pdf
  1. Move fstlm to the /etc/rc.d/init.d/ directory.
  1. Store the license file separately supplied by our company to the same directory as Step 2.



2.1.3.2 Set License Server System

Set License Server System according to the following steps.

  1. If the firewall protection is enabled in the license management server, change the firewall settings with one of the following methods.

    Method 1 : Specify the License Server System processes as an exception in the firewall. (Recommended)

    Register lmgrd and FST installed in 2.1.3.1 Install License Server System as exceptions in the firewall.

    Method 2 : Specify the port to be used in the License Server System as an exception in the firewall.
    1. Refer to About the ports to be used in the License Server System to explicitly specify the port to be used in the License Server System.
    2. Register the specified port as an exception in the firewall.
  1. Open fstlm that was moved in Step 3 of 2.1.3.1 Install License Server System.
  1. Set appropriate values for the following variables defined in fstlm.

    Variable name Description
    MODULEPATH The directory stored in Step 2 of 2.1.3.1 Install License Server System.
    • Please do not add "/" at the end.
    LICENSENAME The license file name stored in Step 4 of 2.1.3.1 Install License Server System.
    LOGFILEPATH The full path of the file that outputs the execution log for the License Server System.
    • Specify the existing directory.
    • Add write authority to the directory by the user specified in RUNUSERNAME.
    RUNUSERNAME The user name of the user authority that starts the service.

  1. Execute the following command to start the service.
    Start the service as the root user.

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/fstlm start

    The following message may appear at the start of the service.
    fstlm: lmgrd is already running.
    In such case, start the service with the following command.

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/fstlm restart


    The following message may appear at the start of the service.
    Failed to start fstlm.service: Unit fstlm.service not found.
    In such case, allow the service to run in SELinux settings or disable SELinux.
  1. Refer to 2.1.3.3 Check License Server System status to check the status of the License Server System.

    If the service does not run normally, return to 2.1.3.1 Install License Server System to review the steps.
  1. Execute the following command to start the service when the OS is booted.

    chkconfig --add fstlm

If the settings have been changed after starting the service in the License Server System, execute the following command to restart the service in the License Server System.
Restart the service as the root user.

     /etc/rc.d/init.d/fstlm restart


2.1.3.3 Check License Server System status

Check whether the installed License Server System runs normally according to the following steps.

  1. Execute the following command.

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/fstlm status

    Notes   If there are many active users, lots of network computation occurs in the status command.
                 Execute when there are few active users.
  1. Check the following message is displayed.

    The port number for port, the server host name for host and the file path name to the license file for license file path will be displayed.
    Below is an example.

    License server status: port@host
    License file(s) on host : license file path

    host : license server UP (MASTER) v11.17.0

    Vendor daemon status (on host ):

2.2 Install Agile+ Relief to client machine

2.2.1 Installation precautions

  • Set the environment variable as needed when you use Agile+ Relief C/C++ by the command.
    Please refer to "10.Running confirmation through commands" of "Software Manual FUJITSU Software Agile+ Relief C/C++ V1.1.1 (floating license version)" for details.

  • Licenses are managed in the license management system, so Agile+ Relief can be installed into multiple machines. It can also be installed into all the client machines that execute Agile+ Relief.

  • If the old version has already been installed, please uninstall it before the installation.
    Agile+ Relief is installed without warning when Agile+ Relief is installed in the folder where the Agile+ Relief of the old version is installed.

  • Agile+ Relief (x86 edition) and Agile+ Relief (x64 edition) cannot be installed in the same environment.

  • The operation environment of Agile+ Relief J requires JDK and Eclipse.
    Please use JDK(32bit version) and Eclipse(32bit version) when you use Agile+ Relief(x86 edition).
    Please use JDK(64bit version) and Eclipse(64bit version) when you use Agile+ Relief(x64 edition).
    After installation, please refer to the [FUJITSU Software Agile+ Relief J V1.1.1] - [Code check Operation Guide] of the start menu, and perform necessary setting.

  • Agile+ Relief J cannot include the following signs in the path name of the installation folder.
          "^"     "&"     ";"

  • Processing under Linux environment are not supported by Agile+ Relief J.

2.2.2 In the case of Windows

2.2.2.1 Install Agile+ Relief

Install Agile+ Relief according to the following steps.

  1. Install CD-ROM settings into the client machine.

  1. After the program selection page has been displayed, do the following operations.
    1. In the case of installation of Agile+ Relief(x86 edition)
       Select the [Agile+ Relief(x86 edition)] button.

    2. In the case of installation of Agile+ Relief(x64 edition)
       Select the [Agile+ Relief(x64 edition)] button.

    * Select Agile+ Relief(x86 edition) or Agile+ Relief(x64 edition) according to OS that installs Agile+ Relief.
        However, select Agile+ Relief(x86 edition) when Agile+ Relief(x86 edition) is necessary for the development environment even if you are using the 64 bit OS.

  1. Select the installation language.

    *Japanese cannot be selected in the case of non-Japanese OS.

  1. After the Agile+ Relief installation program is started, perform the installation according to the message.

  1. In the [Select Features], select the feature to be installed based on different environments.

  1. End the installation according to the message of installer.

    When the installation ends normally, [InstallShield Wizard Complete] will be displayed.

2.2.2.2 Start of Agile+ Relief

Start Agile+ Relief according to the following steps.

2.1 Install to license management server needs to be completed beforehand.

  1. Start Agile+ Relief
  1. When the illustrated dialog box is not displayed, and Agile+ Relief runs

     The work is completed. The environment is now set for running Agile+ Relief.

  2. When the illustrated dialog box is not displayed, and Agile+ Relief does not run

     Restart Agile+ Relief after setting the license management server information with the environmental variable in the following format.

    • port : Port number
      Port number can be omitted if the default port number(27000-27009) is used.
      If a port number is specified in 2.1.1 Installation precautions, please use the port number written in the SERVER line.
    • host : License management server IP address or host name

  3. When the illustrated dialog box is displayed

     Proceed to Step 2.

  1. In the illustrated dialog box, check "Specify the License Server System" is selected, and click [Next].

  1. Input the license management server information. Make inquiries to the server administrator for the value to be set.
    Input the value and click [Next].

    • If a port number is specified in 2.1.1 Installation precautions, please use the port number written in the SERVER line.
    • host : License management server IP address or host name

  1. When the activation process ends normally, the dialog box will be displayed. Click [Finish] to complete the activation.

    If the illustrated dialogue is not displayed and the activation process was not properly completed, then follow the procedure described in Step 1 [b. When the illustrated dialog box is not displayed, and Agile+ Relief does not run].

Notes
The dialog box may not be displayed on the next reboot if the dialog box was not displayed on the first reboot or if the activation process was incomplete with the value inputted.
In such case, restart Agile+ Relief by setting the license management server information with the system environmental variable in the format below.

    The following command should be executed for installation.

    rpm -i package name

    In the case of default, install under the /opt.
    Please specify the installation directory by the --prefix option.
    (rpm -i --prefix install path package name)

  2. Notes
    Specify the option "--nomd5" for the rpm's command and install it again, when the message "error: unpacking of archive failed" is displayed and is failed in the installation.
    Command example:rpm -i --nomd5 package name



2.2.3.2 Start of Agile+ Relief

Start Agile+ Relief according to the following steps.

2.1 Install to license management server needs to be completed beforehand.

  1. Run Agile+ Relief after setting the license management server information with the system environmental variable in the format below.

3.1 Uninstall Agile+ Relief

3.1.1 In the case of Windows


Uninstall Agile+ Relief according to the following steps.

  1. The uninstallation is executed in [Programs and Features] in the Control Panel. Or, the uninstallation is executed in [Apps & features] in [System](*1) in the Winodws Settings.
    (*1) In the specific version of OS used, it becomes [Apps].
  1. Delete [ FUJITSU Software Agile+ Relief V1.1.1] when you use Agile+ Relief(x86 edition).
  2. Delete [ FUJITSU Software Agile+ Relief V1.1.1 (x64 edition) ] when you use Agile+ Relief(x64 edition).

3.1.2 In the case of Linux


Uninstall Agile+ Relief according to the following step.

    rpm -e package name of install (FFSTarqm / FFSTpgr)

3.2 Uninstall License Server System

3.2.1 In the case of Windows


Uninstall License Server System according to the following steps.

  1. Stop "Agile+ Relief License Service" in the Windows service screen.

  1. Execute lmtools.exe installed in 2.1.2.1 Install License Server System and start the license server manager.
  1. From the [Mode] menu, select [Configuration using Services].

  1. Select the [Config Services] tab.
  1. Select "Agile+ Relief License Service" in [Service Name].

  1. Click [Remove Service] and delete the service by clicking [YES] in the confirmation dialog box.

    Save the license file if necessary.
  1. Restore the firewall settings if any changes were made during installation.

3.2.2 In the case of Linux


Uninstall License Server System according to the following steps.

  1. Execute the following command to stop the license server.
    Stop the service as the root user.

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/fstlm stop

  1. Execute the following command to remove the fstlm service from the OS management.

    chkconfig --del fstlm

  1. Delete the file stored in 2.1.3.1 Install License Server System.

    Save the license file if necessary.
  1. Restore the firewall settings if any changes were made during installation.

Agile+ ReliefRelief user Exceeding the maximum number of licenses. Try again after a while.
LICENSE_1015 Cannot connect to license server system.
Action by Possible cause Measure
License server administrator The specification of the license file may be erroneous. 1. Refer to 2.1.2.3 Check License Server System status in the case of Windows and 2.1.3.3 Check License Server System status in the case of Linux to check whether the license server system runs normally.
2. Refer to 2.1 Install to license management server to check whether there is any error in the installation procedure.
The network may be disconnected. Check the network connection.
Agile+ Relief user The information may be incorrect on the license management server that was set at the time of the Agile+ Relief startup. Refer to 2.2.2.2 Start of Agile+ Relief in the case of Windows and 2.2.3.2 Start of Agile+ Relief in the case of Linux to check whether the settings are correct.
The network may be disconnected. Check the network connection.
LICENSE_1018 License server system does not support this feature.

License server administrator A non-Agile+ Relief license file may be referred. 1. Refer to 2.1.2.3 Check License Server System status in the case of Windows and 2.1.3.3 Check License Server System status in the case of Linux to check whether the license server system runs normally.

LICENSE_1025 License server system does not support this version of this feature.

LICENSE_1095 Network connect to THIS_HOST failed.

License server administrator The network connection to THIS_HOST was not successfully established. 1. Change "this_host" written to the SERVER line in the license file to the host name of the license server machine.

Agile+ Relief user The connection between the license management server machine and the client machine was blocked by the firewall. In such case, restart Agile+ Relief by setting the license management server information with the system environmental variable in the format below on the client side.

                Port number can be omitted if the default port number(27000-27009) is used.
             host : License management server IP address or host name
                Always add '@' at the front when the port specification is omitted.
