When adding an extended cabinet for ETERNUS LT270 S2, if a cabinet-through rail is installed, remove the drive in the base cabinet and install it in the extended cabinet. Use the following procedure to change the port of the drive and reconfigure the access path:
Deleting zoning
On the global navigation tab, click Network.
On the Main pane, click the switch name.
On the Category pane, click Zoning.
On the Main pane, select the checkbox of the WWPN zoning of the removed drive.
On the Action pane, click Delete under Zoning.
Delete zoning.
On the zoning overview screen, check that the WWPN zoning of the removed drive has been deleted.
Note
If you are not using "one to one" zoning, ensure that other security settings are not affected.
Deleting the port of the drive
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
On the Storage pane, click Tape Library(Manual).
The registered tape libraries are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, click the target tape library name.
On the Category pane, click Device.
The devices registered on the tape library are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, click the target device name.
The details of the device are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, select the checkbox of the port of the target device.
On the Action pane, click Delete under Port.
The information confirmation screen is displayed.
Confirm the information, and then click Delete.

Adding a port of the drive
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
On the Storage pane, click Tape Library(Manual).
The registered tape libraries are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, click the target tape library name.
On the Category pane, click Device.
The devices registered on the tape library are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, click the target device name.
The details of the device are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Action pane, click Add under Port.
Enter the necessary information, and then click Next.
The information confirmation screen is displayed.
Confirm the information, and then click Add.
Point
The interface type that allows ports to be added is only FC.
Adding an access path
On the global navigation tab, click Server.
On the Server pane, click Access Path.
On the Action pane, click Add (Other) under Access Path.
Register the access path. For access path definition, select the following:
HBA: Logically connected to a replaced device.
Port: to the drive whose installed position was changed.
Confirm the information on the information confirmation screen, and then click Add.
Subsequent operation
After configuration, restart the server node if it does not support active configuration.
