When replacing a server node for each system, do it according to the operating system.
For Solaris OS
Before discovering a new server node on this product, delete all the access paths to the replaced server node to configure new access paths to the new server node.
For Operating Systems Other than Solaris OS
Use the following procedure to setting the access path:
Installing the Agent on the new server
For the new server assign a different IP address from that of the replaced server, then install the Agent.
If a new server cannot be configured with a different IP address from that of the replaced server, delete all the access paths to the replaced server before the new server is detected by this product and then specify new access paths for the new server.
Registering the new server to this product
On the global navigation tab, click Server.
On the Action pane, click Register under Server.
Register the new server.
Check that the new server is displayed on the server overview screen.
Deleting the access path
On the global navigation tab, click Server.
On the Server pane, click Access Path.
On the Main pane, select the checkbox of the access path set for the HBA on the replaced server.
On the Action pane, click Delete under Access Path.
Delete the access path.
On the access path overview screen, check that the access path set for the HBA on the replaced server has been deleted.
Adding an access path
On the global navigation tab, click Server.
On the Server pane, click Access Path.
On the Action pane, click Add (ETERNUS) under Access Path.
Register the access path. For access path definition, select the following:
Port: Port assigned to the new server
HBA: HBA loaded in the new server
Affinity Group: Affinity Group assigned to the replaced server
On the access path overview screen, check that the access path using the HBA installed on the new server has been created.
Deleting the replaced server from this product
On the global navigation tab, click Server.
On the Main pane, select the checkbox of the replaced servers.
On the Action pane, click Delete under Server.
Delete the replaced server.
On the server overview screen, check that the replaced server has been deleted.
