The range of operating capabilities for the switch depends on the user's security level. Configure the user's settings accordingly.
When management including setting and changing the configuration on the switch is operated using Storage Cruiser,
specify a user with administrator permission security levels when registering devices on this product.
When managing the settings and changing the configurations on the switch using equipment other than Storage Cruiser and when the switch status management such as fault management is performed using Storage Cruiser,
specify a user with a security level other than a user with administrator permissions when registering devices on this product.
The operating capability differences, depending on the security level of the specified user, are as follows:

*1: The operating capabilities differ according to the support level.
*2: When performing a device registration using SNMPv1, change the SNMP Community name on the switch information change screen.
Configuration Items | Configuration Details |
---|---|
SNMP Community name (Write) | SNMP community name in the Write direction. |
Refer to "Change FC Switch Information" in the Web Console Guide for the operation details.
*3: Zoning information cannot be set or deleted in relation to the switch. For this reason, when setting/deleting/inheriting the access path for this product, set/delete the zoning information in relation to the switch in advance. When the zoning information is not set/deleted in advance, an error occurs in the operation results. When an error occurs without the zoning information being set/deleted in advance, perform setting/deletion of zoning information in relation to the switches on the access path route and perform the Reload Conf. operation in relation to the relevant switches.
*4: Only when performing a device registration using SNMPv1.
