C.8.1 Performing Upgrade

The procedure of the Upgrade Installation of Solaris / Linux Edition AdvancedCopy Manager Copy Control Module are explained below.

The upgrade procedure is as follows:

Insert the DVD "ETERNUS SF SC/ACM Mediapack for Solaris (V16.9 or higher) Manager Program (2/2)" or "ETERNUS SF SC/ACM/Express Mediapack for Linux 64bit (V16.9 or higher) Manager Program (2/2)" of this version into the DVD drive.
Mount the DVD media.
- Example for Solaris environments
```
# mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t4d0s0 dvdMountPoint
```
  The device name of the DVD drive may differ depending on the device. In this example, the device name of the DVD drive is mounted as "/dev/dsk/c0t4d0s0".
- Example for Linux environments
```
# mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/cdrom dvdMountPoint
```
  The device name of the DVD drive may differ depending on the device. In this example, the device name of the DVD drive is mounted as "/dev/cdrom".
Change the directory on the DVD media where the installation shell script is stored.
```
# cd dvdMountPoint/Manager_unix
```
Execute the following installation shell script.
```
# ./esfinstall.sh
```

The license agreement information is displayed. Display example is mentioned below.
If the conditions are agreeable, enter "y".

Notes
Thank you for purchasing media which contains Fujitsu software program (hereafter referred
to as "Media"). Fujitsu provides the Media to you subject to agreement to "Conditions of
Use" below.
This document will not be reissued and please keep it in a secure place.
Conditions of Use
1. Using programs
In order to use the software program contained in the Media (hereafter referred to as "Sof
tware"), in addition to the Media itself, you shall purchase a license which grants you a
right to use the Software.
2. Backup
(1) You may duplicate a Media for backup purpose.
(2) When you duplicate the Media for backup purpose in accordance with Section 2. (1), you
must copy the copyright notice that appears on the original Media on the duplication ther
eof.
(3) The duplication of the Media shall be treated as the Media under this Condition of Use
.
3. Transfer to a third party

You may not transfer, loan, sublicense the Media to third parties, or provide it as collat
eral to a third party.
4. Warranty range
Fujitsu warrants that the Media will be free from defects in materials and manufacture und
er normal use for a period of 90 days from the date of delivery to you. Your sole and excl
usive remedy and the entire liability of Fujitsu under this Condition of Use will be, at F
ujitsu's option,replacement of the Media or refund of the money paid by you for the Media.

If the upgrade completes successfully, the following message is displayed.

INFO: ETERNUS SF was installed successfully.
```
Change to a directory other than the DVD media.
Example:
```
# cd
```
Unmount the DVD media.
```
# umount dvdMountPoint
```
Eject the DVD media used for the Upgrade Installation from the device.

The upgrade is complete above.
