The following preparation is necessary before starting the AdvancedCopy Manager's agent uninstallation.
If you are planning to use the backup management list afterwards, back up the backup management list using the "swstresback" command before starting the uninstallation of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent.
Refer to "Command References" in the AdvancedCopy Manager Operation Guide for the operating system of the Managed Server for information on the command.
Before starting the uninstallation of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent from server nodes on which a cluster environment is built, delete the environment of all Managed Server transactions created on these server nodes.
Refer to "Deletion of Cluster Environment for Managed Server Transactions" in the Cluster Environment Setup Guide for information on the instructions.
Before starting the uninstallation of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent from environments in which backup operation was implemented for Exchange Server databases, perform the tasks described under "Uninstallation" in "Backup and Restore of Exchange Server Databases" in the AdvancedCopy Manager Operation Guide.
The server from which the AdvancedCopy Manager's agent is uninstalled must be removed from the control of Management Server.
There are two methods for this task:
Using Web Console
Executing the "stgxfwcmdelsrv" command on the Management Server
Refer to "Command References" in the AdvancedCopy Manager Operation Guide for the operating system of the Management Server for information on the command.
If AdvancedCopy Manager's agent is uninstalled, AdvancedCopy Manager's pre-processing and post-processing scripts (shell scripts) used in backup/restore and replication are also deleted.
If there is a possibility that any customized scripts are used again, back up these scripts.
Perform the tasks described below to stop the services/daemons of the AdvancedCopy Manager's agent to be uninstalled.
For Windows environments
Click Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services to open the Services screen.
Select "AdvancedCopy Manager COM Service" and then click Stop.
For Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, or AIX environments
Execute the following command to stop the AdvancedCopy Manager daemon.
# /opt/swstorage/bin/stopacm
From the "services" file, delete the port numbers that were used by services/daemons of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent.
Usually, the "services" file is on the following path.
