2.1 Supported Devices

This section describes devices that are supported by Express, Storage Cruiser and AdvancedCopy Manager.

Devices Supported by Express

Express supports the following storage devices:

  • The firmware versions of storage devices must be as shown in the table below. However, for unlisted storage devices, there is no limit for the firmware version number.

  • When using the Storage Cluster function, use the following storage devices and firmware version. In addition, equalize the firmware version for Primary Storage and Secondary Storage constituting the Storage Cluster environment.

    *1: The Storage Cluster function cannot be used if "GS License" is registered in the storage device.

    *2: To use the Automatic Failback function or to perform a volume capacity expansion, the firmware version must be V10L30 or later.

    *3: To use the iSCSI host interface or the Automatic Failover function with the REC path of iSCSI port, the firmware version must be V10L60 or later.

    *4: To perform any of the following actions, the firmware version must be V10L70 or later:

    - Setting or displaying the total capacity of TFOVs per storage device

    - Expanding the number of creatable TFO groups up to 32

    - Creating two or more TFO groups in the same direction

    - Using the Automatic Failover function during a RAID close

    - Using the Automatic Failover function triggered by CA port linkdown
