13.2.1 setagtip (Agent Information Change Command)

NAME

setagtip - Changes the Storage Cruiser's agent information

SYNOPSIS

setagtip [-i ipAddr]

COMMAND PATH

For Windows environments
```
$INS_DIR\ESC\Agent\bin\setagtip
```
($INS_DIR means "Program Directory" specified at the Storage Cruiser's agent installation.)
For Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, or AIX environments
```
/opt/FJSVssage/bin/setagtip
```

DESCRIPTION

This command sets Storage Cruiser's agent information.
In a Windows environment, only a user of the Administrators group can execute this command.
In a Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, or AIX environment, only OS administrator (root) user can execute this command.

When you want to change the start IP address of Storage Cruiser's agent or when you want to change the host name, specify the IP address to set information.

OPTIONS

-i ipAddr

Specify the IP address of the server node that can communicate from the Management Server. The start IP address of the Storage Cruiser's agent is set to the specified IP address. Also, a host name corresponding to the specified IP address is set as a host name recognized by Storage Cruiser's agent.
If this option is omitted, the current setting information is displayed.

When specifying IPv6 address, specify a global address.

As for IPv6 address display format, Web Console displays IP addresses with reference to RFC5952. For this reason, they may be different from those specified by this command.

EXAMPLES

Displaying the Storage Cruiser's agent information
```
> setagtip
```
Setting the Storage Cruiser's agent IP address to 192.0.2.14
```
> setagtip -i 192.0.2.14
```

NOTES

If the host name cannot be resolved from the specified IP address, the messages shown below is displayed. Check for an error in the specified IP address or network definition (hosts, DNS, etc.), and re-execute the command.

IP Address = ipAddr : Host's Name is not found.
