9.3.6 Add/Display/Delete Port in Tape Library

The procedure to add the port to the registered ETERNUS LT series and the procedure to display/delete the port in the registered ETERNUS LT series are as follows:
To display the port list, perform from step 1 to step 4.
Otherwise, perform all steps.

1. On the global navigation tab, click Storage.

2. On the Category pane, click Tape Library (Manual).
   The registered tape libraries are displayed on the Main pane.

3. On the Main pane, click the target tape library.

4. On the Category pane, click Device.
   The devices registered in the tape library are displayed on the Main pane.

5. Perform the following procedures according to the operation purpose.

   For Adding Port

   1. On the Main pane, click the device to add the port.
      The detailed information of the device registered in the tape library is displayed.

   2. On the Action pane, click Add under Port.
      The information input screen is displayed.

   3. Enter the necessary information, and then click Next.
      The information confirmation screen is displayed.

   4. Confirm the information, and then click Add.

   For Deleting Port

   1. On the Main pane, click the device that has the port to be deleted.
      The detailed information of the device registered in the tape library is displayed.

   2. On the Main pane, check the target port checkbox.

   3. On the Action pane, click Delete under Port.
      The information confirmation screen is displayed.

   4. Confirm the information, and then click Delete.

Point

Only FC ports can be added.
