In case the VM guest is configured with a VMware Virtual Volume When a new VM guest is created, and when a VM guest is moved between VM hosts using Storage vMotion or vSphere HA, that VM guest is automatically recognized when powered on. At the same time, non-VMware Virtual Volumes VM guests that exist on the VM host are also automatically recognized.
