An FTV created in a one layer Tier pool is equivalent to a TPV. The advantage of a one layer Tier Pool over a Thin Provisioning Pool is that the number of layers can be increased. A Thin Provisioning Pool cannot be converted to a Tier Pool.
A one layer Tier Pool does not require the ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Optimization Option license.

A NAS management feature will be provided to operate the ETERNUS DX100 S3/DX200 S3, DX500 S3/DX600 S3 as a NAS device.
