Express functions added for ETERNUS DX100 S3/DX200 S3.
Use of a new RAID type
RAID6-FR can be used in addition to the traditional RAID type.
Model upgrades
The following model upgrades are available:
ETERNUS DX100 S3 to DX200 S3
Eco-mode power control
For the RAID group Eco-mode operation, the disk drive power supply can be controlled in addition to the traditional spindle rotation control of the disk drive.
Point
To use the above functions, the firmware of the storage device must be V10L20 or later.
Note
The above functions cannot be used for ETERNUS DX200F.
Regarding the NAS management functions for operating ETERNUS DX100 S3/DX200 S3 as NAS device, the following functions are provided.
Port bonding of NAS ports
VLAN ID settings of NAS interface
Settings of DNS server
Change in NAS server name
Capacity expansion of NAS volume
Inter-box backup/restore of NAS volumes
Automatic collection function of NAS volume snapshots
Capacity limit function (Quota management) of NAS volumes

Note
The above functions cannot be used for ETERNUS DX200F.
