Cause
HP-UX versions 5.1 to V13.0.0 do not support /etc/shadow, therefore Systemwalker Operation Manager cannot authenticate passwords if they are stored in this file.
Action method
Consider one of the following operations to circumvent using /etc/shadow:
Perform operation on a high-reliability system.
By enabling high-reliability mode (high-reliability system), shadow passwords will be stored under /tcb.
Perform operation with passwords stored in /etc/passwd.
