When describing the printer full name in the Printing Format sheet of the Define Operation Information window of the Job Execution Control, or the name of a network-connected printer in the prt operand to be specified in the JCL jobstart or file control statement, describe in the following format.
\\server-name\shared-name |
server-name: For a printer connected to the Windows system OS, specify the PC name of the OS. shared-name: Specify the shared name set for the network printer.
For a printer connected to other print server, specify the server name of the print server.
