A.3.9 Restricting Jobscheduler display in the job selection tree

If a large number of job nets and groups are registered, displaying Jobscheduler in the job selection tree of the Operation Manager client may take time.

In such cases, configuring the settings to expand just one of the projects you want to display from Jobscheduler in the job selection tree may improve the display performance of the job selection tree.

After enabling these settings, you can expand only one project at a time in the job selection tree. In addition, if you have expanded one project and then you select a different project, the expanded project will be closed.

Perform the following procedure to configure these settings.

Method

To expand just one project from Jobscheduler in the job selection tree, add to or change the content of the client operating environment file (Jobschr.ini) in \MpWalker.JM\mpjmcl\etc in the Systemwalker Operation Manager installation directory on the Systemwalker Operation Manager client to reflect the following values:

Section name:

REFRESH_MODE

Key name:

Control_Refresh

Value:

0 (initial value, single project display disabled)
1 (single project display enabled)

Example of displaying information for a single project only

[REFRESH_MODE]
Control_Refresh=1

You can define mode switching while the client is displayed, but the defined values will not take effect until the next time the Jobscheduler is connected.

Note

Export

If you enable these settings, you cannot export definition information while Jobscheduler is selected in the job selection tree. In addition, if you select an unexpanded project for export, the following error message will be output:

There are no groups or job nets that can be exported.
