A.3.5 Restoring Schedule Files

The Jobscheduler backs up schedule files ("project name.dbz" and "project name.grz" files) at the following timings.

The backup of the schedule file will be created in the jobschbackup directory under the database directory.

If a file space insufficiency has occurred while updating job nets, a writing error will be generated for the current schedule file or the backup schedule file under the jobschbackup directory.

When a writing error has occurred in the schedule file under the database directory, use the following procedure to restore it from the backup under the jobschbackup directory.

  1. Confirm the registration information of job nets in the Job Selection window. If an error message appears instead of the registration information, there may be a writing error for the schedule file in the database directory. Take the following actions.

  2. Terminate the Jobscheduler services [Windows version] or daemons [UNIX version].

  3. Copy the schedule file in the database directory to another directory in case it is needed for failure investigation.

  4. Copy the schedule file in the jobschbackup directory to the database directory.

  5. Restart the Jobscheduler services [Windows version] or daemons [UNIX version].

After the above operation, confirm the registration information of job nets in the Job Selection window again. If an error message still appears instead of the registration information, there may be a writing error for the schedule file in the jobschbackup directory. In this case, carry out restoration from the pre-backup operation environment. If restored, the information becomes the same as that obtained when it was backed up.

For details on backup and restoration, see "Backing Up or Restoring Operation Environment" in the Systemwalker Operation Manager Installation Guide.
