7.22.2 Error messages

The devirmcd daemon cannot be started because SF is running.

Content:

The iRMC asynchronous monitoring agent cannot be started in the PRIMEQUEST 3000 environment because the shutdown facility is running.

Corrective action:

Execute the following commands to stop the shutdown facility. After that, start the iRMC asynchronous monitoring agent.

   # /opt/SMAW/bin/sdtool -e
   # /etc/opt/FJSVcluster/bin/clirmcmonctl start

After starting the iRMC asynchronous monitoring agent, start the shutdown facility again.

   # /opt/SMAW/bin/sdtool -b

Failed to start the devirmcd daemon.

Content:

The iRMC asynchronous monitoring daemon failed to start in the PRIMEQUEST 3000 environment.

Corrective action:

Record this message and collect information for an investigation. Then, contact field engineers. For details on how to collect information, see "Troubleshooting" in "PRIMECLUSTER Installation and Administration Guide."

Failed to stop the devirmcd daemon.

Content:

The iRMC asynchronous monitoring daemon failed to stop in the PRIMEQUEST 3000 environment.

Corrective action:

No system administrator authority.

Content:

The command must be executed with a system administrator authority.

Corrective action:

Execute the command with a system administrator authority.

USAGE: clirmcmonctl [{start | restart | stop}]

Content:

The invalid parameter/command line is used.

Corrective action:

Use valid parameters.

Failed to start the devirmcd daemon because the server architecture is invalid.

Content:

This command can be executed only in the PRIMEQUEST 3000 environment.

Corrective action:

Check the environment where the command is being executed and use the correct command.

The devirmcd daemon already running.

Content:

The iRMC asynchronous monitoring daemon is already running in the PRIMEQUEST 3000 environment.

The devirmcd daemon is not running.

Content:

The iRMC asynchronous monitoring daemon is already stopped in the PRIMEQUEST 3000 environment.
