3.2.2 Information Required for Registering a Datastore/Cache

Information Required in the Basic Settings Screen

Item	Required?	Description
Provider name	Required	Specify the name of the provider where the datastore is created.
Datastore name	Required	Specify a name within 32 characters to identify the datastore. You can use alphanumeric characters and symbols (!@#$%^&*()_+-=[]{}\|'). "DS#nnn" is displayed as the default value in the input field. "nnn" indicates a 3-digit value that starts with "1".
Datastore capacity	Required	Specify the amount of space to allocate to the datastore. Set this item to a value of 100 GB or more, but less than or equal to the total of license capacity.
Cache capacity	Required	Specify the amount of capacity to allocate to the cache. Set a value that is 10 % of the datastore or larger (minimum of 20 GB) and less than or equal to the free space of a storage pool for cache and archive operations of this product.

Point

Archives can be created when the used archive capacity is less than or equal to the license capacity that is not used as the datastore capacity (=Total of license capacity - Datastore capacity).

Information Required in the Bucket Selection Screen

Item	Required?	Description
Bucket name	Required	Specify the name of the bucket where the datastore is created. The bucket information is automatically acquired according to the provider name selected in the basic settings screen and is displayed in the pull-down list. Select one of the buckets displayed in the list.

Information Required in the Advanced Settings Screen

Item	Required?	Description
Compression	Optional	Specify the determines whether to compress the data when storing it in the datastore. The default setting is "Enable".
Datastore encryption	Optional	Specify the determines whether to encrypt the data when storing it in the datastore. The default setting is "Disable".
Datastore encryption password	Optional	If the Datastore encryption is set to "Enable", specify the encryption password used to store data in the datastore.
Traffic control	Optional	Specify whether to set the maximum data transfer rate to store data in the datastore. The default is "Disable". If you specify "Enable", set the maximum data transfer rate. The same values are set for each data transfer from writing to the datastore and from the datastore. You can specify 0, or 4 to 10,240. The unit is Mbit/s. If 0 is specified, the setting of the upper bound value is disabled.
