The range of the value that can be set for the datastore capacity is up to the maximum capacity specified in the license. For regular licenses, the datastore capacity can be expanded by applying additional capacity licenses to the basic license. However, in combination with the used archive capacity, the maximum datastore capacity is 500 TB. Additional capacity licenses that exceed 500 TB cannot be applied.
Note
This product needs 10 GB of datastore capacity for system use, therefore the actual capacity available is 10 GB less than the datastore capacity.
When creating archives with this product, set half the maximum capacity specified in the license or less as the datastore capacity. If the used datastore capacity exceeds half the maximum capacity specified in the license, an archive cannot be created due to insufficient free space.
