Appendix E Settings of Encryption Algorithm in SNMPv3 Protocol

When using "AES192" or "AES256" for encryption algorithm, take the following steps to set up this product. Note that this is not required for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 environments.

Acquire Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files from the download site of Oracle Corporation.
- For Manager environment (Windows, Solaris, Linux) or Agent environment (Windows, Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (for Intel64))

Stop the product.
- For Manager environment (Windows)
  Stop the "ETERNUS SF Manager Tomcat Service" according to "Stopping the service" in "13.3.1.2 Starting and Stopping the ETERNUS SF Manager Services".
- For Manager environment (Solaris)
  Stop the "Storage Cruiser's manager" according to "Stopping daemons" in "13.3.2.2 Starting and Stopping the ETERNUS SF Manager Daemons".
- For Manager environment (Linux)
  Stop the "Storage Cruiser's manager" according to "Stopping daemons" in "13.3.3.2 Starting and Stopping the ETERNUS SF Manager Daemons".
- For Agent environment (Windows)
  Stop the "Storage Cruiser's agent" according to "Stopping the service" in "13.4.1 Starting and Stopping Services (Windows Environment)".
- For Agent environment (Solaris, Linux)
  Stop the "Storage Cruiser's agent" according to "Stopping the daemon" in "13.4.2 Starting and Stopping Daemons (Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, or AIX Environment)".

Back up the files "local_policy.jar" and "US_export_policy.jar" under the following directories in another names, and keep the files acquired in step 1 as their file names stand now.

Start the product.

  Start the "ETERNUS SF Manager Tomcat Service" according to "Starting the service" in "13.3.1.2 Starting and Stopping the ETERNUS SF Manager Services".
- For Manager environment (Solaris)
  Start the "Storage Cruiser's manager" according to "Starting daemons" in "13.3.2.2 Starting and Stopping the ETERNUS SF Manager Daemons".
- For Manager environment (Linux)
  Start the "Storage Cruiser's manager" according to "Starting daemons" in "13.3.3.2 Starting and Stopping the ETERNUS SF Manager Daemons".
- For Agent environment (Windows)
  Start the "Storage Cruiser's agent" according to "Starting the service" in "13.4.1 Starting and Stopping Services (Windows Environment)".
