This section describes the preparations for using the Storage Cluster Continuous Copy function with replication operations.
Set up using the following procedure:
Starting Daemon
Normally, the daemon is configured to be automatically invoked at system startup.
However, if a daemon fails to start for some reason or has stopped, both servers must restart their respective daemons. For information about starting daemons, refer to "Chapter 2 Starting and Stopping Daemons".
Starting Web Console
Start Web Console. For details, refer to "How to Start Web Console" in the Web Console Guide.
Registering Managed Server
The Management Server registers the Managed Server to be managed.
Refer to "6.4.3 Registering Managed Server" for details.
Configuration of Storage Cluster
Set up the Storage Cluster environment.
Refer to "Storage Cluster Function" in the Storage Cruiser Operation Guide for Storage Cluster function setup.
Fetching Device Information on Managed Server
Fetch the device information on a Managed Server.
Refer to "6.4.4 Fetching Device Information on Managed Server" for details.
Configuring Source Volume and Replica Volume
Set the source volume and replica volume that are used in the replication.
Refer to "6.4.5 Configuring Source Volume and Replica Volume" for details.
When creating groups, refer to "6.4.7 Creating Groups".
Note
Register the Advanced Copy license for the respective ETERNUS Disk storage systems on the Primary Storage and Secondary Storage. Refer to "Registration of License" in the Installation and Setup Guide for information on how to register the Advanced Copy license.
The source volume and replica volume must belong to the same TFO group.
All of the replication volumes registered in the group must belong to the same TFO group.
Non-TFOVs cannot be registered as source and replica volumes.
Replication volumes that are not synchronized between the Primary Storage and Secondary Storage cannot be registered.
When creating groups, do not perform a failover or a failback.
Customizing Pre-processing and Post-processing
Pre- and post-processing scripts are customized according to the operation.
Refer to "6.4.6 Customizing Pre-processing and Post-processing" for details.
