3.5.3 Restoring Data

This section describes how to restore a volume or other data that has been backed up.

3.5.3.1 Restoring Entire Volume

All of the data from a volume that has been saved with the snapshot high-speed backup can be restored using either Web Console or the swstrestore command.
To check the restore status, use the swstreststat command.

Note

If restoring for a general file system, stop operations.

3.5.3.2 Restoring Individual File

Restore an individual file as shown below. Note that you cannot restore an individual file from Web Console.

1. Mount the backup volume. Check the backup volume using Web Console or the swsthistdisp command.

2. Copy files to restore using the cp command.

3. Unmount the backup volume.
