Normally, all the daemons of AdvancedCopy Manager are automatically started when the system is started. If the startup fails for some reason or the daemons are temporarily stopped, start the daemons with the following procedure.
How to Start Daemons on the Management Server
When the Management Server is not used for a cluster operation
Execute the following command.
# /opt/FJSVesfcm/bin/startesf.sh
When the Management Server is used for a cluster operation
Start the cluster application (transaction) to which ETERNUS SF Manager belongs. Refer to the relevant cluster software manuals for information on how to start the cluster application.
How to Start Daemons on the Managed Server
When the Managed Server is not used for a cluster operation
Execute the following command.
# /opt/swstorage/bin/startacm
When the Managed Server is used for a cluster operation
Start the cluster application (transaction) to which AdvancedCopy Manager daemon belongs. Refer to the relevant cluster software manuals for information on how to start the cluster application.
Note
Before executing the startacm command, confirm that the environment variable SWSTGNODE is not defined.
Confirm that the "/var/tmp" directory as a work directory exists.
If starting daemon fails, confirm that IP address and name of the local server in the "/etc/hosts" file are validate.
