This chapter explains configuration regarding the creation of physical L-Servers.
Prerequisites
When creating a physical L-Server, it is necessary to create a Windows PE in advance. For details, refer to the "Windows PE Creation Script Guide".
To create a physical L-Server, Virtual I/O using VIOM, ISM, or HBA address rename is required.
Usage methods of VIOM, ISM, and HBA address rename differ depending on the hardware of the managed servers used for a physical L-Server.
Blade Servers
Use VIOM.
Rack Mount Servers
Use HBA address rename, VIOM, or ISM.
When managing servers other than the above, associate the configured physical servers with L-Servers. For details on associating configured physical servers with L-Servers, refer to "Chapter 18 Linking L-Servers with Configured Physical Servers or Virtual Machines" in the "User's Guide for Infrastructure Administrators (Resource Management) CE".
It is also necessary to enter configuration information (CPU core count, CPU clock speed, memory capacity, etc.) of the physical servers in the definition file.
