Normally, it is unnecessary to manually start services of AdvancedCopy Manager, because they are automatically started when the system is started.
However, you must manually start a service if:
The startup of the service has failed for some reason.
The service has been intentionally stopped.
To manually start a service:
Select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services to display the Services window.
A list of services registered in the system is displayed. Select a service to be started, and then click Start.
For Clustered Systems
This section describes how to start the services in a clustered system.
In a clustered system that is already established, the startup types assigned to the services are as follows:

To start AdvancedCopy Manager as a resource in a cluster, take the following steps:
Start the failover cluster manager.
Set Management Server transactions or Managed Server transactions to online.
To start AdvancedCopy Manager COM Service as a standalone service, take the following steps:
Select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services to display the Services window.
The services already registered in the system are then listed. Select the service you want to start, and then click Start.
Note
Be sure the AdvancedCopy Manager cluster service (application resource) is started from the failover cluster manager. Do not start it from the Services window.
If a resource in a cluster stops for some reason, you must take the steps described above to restart it.
Do not change the startup type of AdvancedCopy Manager as a resource in a cluster to "Automatic".
