This section describes the disk design to create a GFS Shared File System.
GFS Shared File System requires GDS logical volumes for not only a file system but also a management partition (to manage the important information for GFS Shared File System operation).
The number of required GDS logical volumes is shown in the following table.

Management partition | 1 | Over 40 megabytes of volume size is necessary. |
File system | 1 to 32 for each file system | The maximum number of file system is 10. |
