E.1.2 [Template] Tab

This section explains how template information that uses locked disk or network resources is treated in the [Templates] tab of the [L-Platform Template] window for each of the following items.

Table Component of the [Templates] Tab

You can check whether template information contains locked resources in this window.

If template information contains locked resources, a warning icon is displayed at the right side of the list at the left side of the page. When template information is selected, a message indicating that resources are locked is displayed in the template information area at the lower right of the window, and a warning icon is displayed with the information related to the locked resources.

Template information containing locked resources cannot be published.

Configuration

When an L-Platform template is being created, copied, or edited, locked resources on the [Configure] page are treated as follows:

  • Locked disk resources and segment information are not displayed as [Additional Options].
  • If an L-Platform template contains locked network resources, the corresponding segment is displayed with a warning icon next to the network resource name in the header.
  • If the L-Platform template contains locked disk resources, the corresponding server icon is displayed with a warning icon.
  • When a segment contained in the L-Platform template is selected and resources are locked, messages indicating that the resources are locked are displayed in the element details area.
  • When a server contained in the L-Platform template is selected and a disk with locked resources is selected in the element details area, messages indicating that the resources are locked are displayed.
  • If the L-Platform template contains a locked network resource, images and SLBs cannot be added to the corresponding segment from [Additional Options].

When the [Next] button is clicked in the [Configure] page, the application checks whether the L-Platform template contains locked resources.

If it does, a message indicating that unusable resources are specified is displayed. Modify the L-Platform template in the [Configure] page so that it contains only usable resources, and then click the [Next] button.
