In preparation for large-scale disasters such as earthquakes, this section describes the outline method to configure a replication (hereafter a disaster recovery system) of the operation system where GDS is used in a remote location and so on to run the service.

For copying data to a disaster recovery system from the operation system, use the copy function of storage units. Either of the following copy functions are available:
Copy function per slice
Example: REC of ETERNUS Disk storage system
Copy function per LUN
Example: ACM CCM and Dell EMC SRDF
