E.2.1 Panic Messages (20000-20099)


20000

sfdsk: no valid root disk found, disk ID information is invalid

Explanation

Disk ID information was invalid for all root disks (disks where root file system will be mounted).

Resolution

Check for improper root disk swap or connection change of I/O cables.

When the cause cannot be specified, collect investigation material including the memory dump and contact field engineers.


20002

sfdsk: I/O error on last ACTIVE slice

Explanation

Caused a panic after an I/O error occurred on the only acitve slice in the volume.

Resolution

The following are the possibilities:

  • Disk failure.

  • I/O is not responding in the I/O root domain.

Check if the physical disk and the I/O root domain are operating normally.


20003

sfdsk: class closed down

Explanation

Caused a panic after the class was closed.

Resolution

The following are the possibilities:

  • Disk failure.

  • I/O is not responding in the I/O root domain.

  • An abnormality occurred in the communication between nodes in the cluster system

Check if the physical disk, the I/O root domain and the cluster system are operating normally.
