In PRIMECLUSTER systems
Before defining the configuration of GDS objects such as classes and volumes, perform the following procedures in the cluster system. Do not perform these procedures if PRIMECLUSTER products are installed in your system but the system is not in the cluster configuration.
Automatic Resource Registration
Register disk unit resources with the PRIMECLUSTER resource database. The resource registration is required even when only the system disk and local disks are in the management scope but shared disk units are not. For details on resource registration, see the "PRIMECLUSTER Installation and Administration Guide."
Physical Disk Information Update
From the [Operation] menu in GDS Management View, select [Update Physical Disk Information].
