Description
When using a VMware vSphere 6 or later VM host, the available memory of the VM pool and the VM host is not correctly calculated.
For this reason, operations may fail when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
Operation | Conditions |
---|---|
|
|
Live migration of L-Servers |
|
In this case, the following messages are displayed in the event log.
When deploying L-Platforms or starting L-Servers and L-Platforms
FJSVrcx:ERROR:67320:power control error. target=VM_guest detail=(poweron:task result error, vmerrno=104,ip=IP_address) |
When performing live migration of L-Servers
FJSVrcx:ERROR:67385:migrating VM guest failed. VM_guest_name migrate from source to destination. detail=(VM_guest_name,validate migrate invalid,vmerrno=150,ip=IP_address) |
One of the following is displayed in the detailed message.
[ERROR]The available Memory resources in the parent resource pool are insufficient for the operation. |
[ERROR]The host does not have sufficient memory resources to satisfy the reservation. |
Corrective Action
The infrastructure administrator should perform the following procedure.
Check the available memory of the VM host on VMware vCenter Server.
Move the L-Server to another VM host that has enough available memory for the corresponding L-Server to operate.
