3.8.3 Message Output While Executing SDSVService.bat

Specify the parameters correctly.
SDSVSERVICE.bat  -STATUS | -START | -STOP  [-times TIME]

Example: SDSVSERVICE.bat  -START  -times 600

Cause

The parameter entered in the SDSVSERVICE command is invalid.
A parameter is missing or an extra parameter is specified.

Resolution

Inspect the specified parameter.

A value other than numeric value is specified in -times. Please enter the correct value.

Cause

A value other than a number is specified to monitoring time.

Resolution

Specify the value in the range 1 to 99999.

The value specified in -times is outside the range of 1 to 99999. Please enter the correct value.

Cause

The numeric value specified for the monitoring time is outside the range of 1 to 99999.

Resolution

Specify the value within the range 1 to 99999.

Timeout occurred while stopping the %s.

Variable information

%s: Name of the service to be stopped

Cause

The command to stop the displayed service has timed out.

Resolution

Check if the service with errors is stopped.

The service did not stop within the monitoring period.

Cause

The displayed service did not stop within the specified time.

Specified time: Time specified in '-times' (by default 300 seconds)

Resolution

If this error frequently occurs, increase the period up to time out in the '-times' option.

An error occurred while stopping the %s. (RC=%d)

%s: Name of the service to be stopped

%d: Error code

Cause

Probable causes are as follows:

  • Stopped the service that is about to start.

  • Failed to start or stop the previous service.

Resolution

  • Execute the restart command after confirming that the service is fully started.

  • Restart the OS and then execute the command.

Even then, if the service cannot be stopped, contact the Fujitsu technical staff.
