Web-Based Admin view enables to automatically change a secondary management server during operation according to the operating status of the entire cluster system.
If the secondary management server fails, or both the primary and secondary management servers fail, one unit is selected from the other running monitoring nodes. This single selected monitoring node provides high reliability by taking over the function of the secondary management server.
It is possible to locate two or more candidate monitoring nodes as they can serve as a secondary management server. Each node should be predetermined whether or not it be a candidate for a secondary management server. Normally, the secondary management server is determined from active monitoring nodes in descending order of mip (IP addresses for identifying the Web-Based admin View's own host). For this IP address, refer to "4.4.1 IP address / Host name". For details of dynamic operation of the secondary management server, refer to "7.4 Secondary management server automatic migration".
