H.5 Operation

This section explains the operation of AdvancedCopy Manager in Oracle VM Server for SPARC.

For details on the backup operation, refer to the following sections:

• For backing up normal transaction volumes: "Chapter 3 Backup Operation".

For details on the replication operation, refer to the following section:

• For replicating: "Chapter 6 Replication".

For operating AdvancedCopy Manager CCM, use the following procedure:

1. Configure the environment for AdvancedCopy Manager CCM.

   For details, refer to "Setup" in the ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operation Guide for Copy Control Module.

   Note

   For Guest Domain, the virtual device must be specified as the Access volume.
   For details, refer to "H.4.2 Supported Device for Guest Domain".

2. Perform the operations for AdvancedCopy Manager CCM.
