When setting the FTV as the synchronization target volume using the Storage Cluster function, the access status data of the Active side FTV and the Standby side FTV are synchronized. This process is referred to as "access status data synchronization". With this process, evaluation/relocation that was optimized for the I/O access status from the Active side FTV is possible even for the Standby side FTV, and enables operations for maintaining pre-failover access performance even after a failover.
Refer to "Storage Cluster Function" in the ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Operation Guide for details of the Storage Cluster function.
