The interactive uninstallation procedure of Storage Cruiser's agent (for AIX) is as follows:
Login to the server on which to perform the tasks. Perform operations after logging in with root (superuser).
Run the following command to delete the "FJSVssage" record from the /etc/inittab file.
# /usr/sbin/rmitab FJSVssage |
Delete the contents you added to /etc/rc.shutdown file as specified in "Auto stop setting (AIX environment only)".
Delete all of the following directories if they exist:
/opt/FJSVssage
/etc/opt/FJSVssage
/var/opt/FJSVssage
Example of deletion
# /usr/bin/rm -rf /opt/FJSVssage /etc/opt/FJSVssage /var/opt/FJSVssage |
Run the following command in order to delete the line "sscruisera" from the /etc/services file.
In the following example, the port number to be used is set to "4917". If you specified a different port number during installation, specify the same port number here.
# /usr/sbin/chservices -d -v sscruisera -p tcp -n 4917 |
Point
You can execute the following command to check the specified port number.
# /usr/bin/grep -e "^sscruisera" /etc/services |
The currently set value is displayed. In this example, the setting is "4917".
sscruisera 4917/tcp |
Reboot the system.
# /usr/sbin/shutdown -r now |
The Storage Cruiser's agent (for AIX) uninstallation is completed.
