E.1 Return Values for Silent Installation (for ETERNUS SF Manager, AdvancedCopy Manager CCM)

The following is a description of the meanings of command return values and actions responding to them for silent installation (for ETERNUS SF Manager, AdvancedCopy Manager CCM).

Installation succeeded.

No action is required.

Silent installation command was run with invalid parameters.

Specify correct parameters for the silent installation command.

Creating an install log file failed.

Check whether the destination to which to store the install log file has write permission. In addition, check whether the file name is specified to the argument of -l option.

Specified installation parameter file does not exist. (This return value is not set for AdvancedCopy Manager CCM in Solaris/Linux environment.)

Make sure that the specified installation parameter file exists.

Licensing is not agreed to.

Specify "-eula agreed" for parameter of the silent installation command.

Specified installation parameter file is incorrect. (This return value is not set for AdvancedCopy Manager CCM in Solaris/Linux environment.)

Refer to "Appendix D Installation Parameters" to make sure that the content of the installation parameter file is correct.

This version of the ETERNUS SF product is already installed.

No action is required.

An earlier version of ETERNUS SF product is already installed.

The command for silent installation does not support upgrading from an installed version. For the upgrade installation, refer to the ETERNUS SF Migration Guide of this version.

Another installation or uninstallation is in progress.

On completion of the installation or uninstallation in progress, try again.

Other than those above

Error occurred during installation.

Check the content of the install log file to take required action.
