If you set up firewalls between the Management Server and ETERNUS Disk storage system, set the following port numbers so as to allow transmissions to pass the firewalls.

Express uses SNMP to register ETERNUS Disk storage system. Therefore, before registering devices, it is required to start SNMP Agent of ETERNUS Disk storage system. ETERNUS Disk storage system that has no SNMP Agent started cannot be registered.
Check the network environment, access privileges and settings of communication mode between Management Server and ETERNUS Disk storage system. If either communication mode of the Management Server or the ETERNUS Disk storage system is set to "Full (full duplex)", do not set the other to "Auto Negotiation".
Refer to the manual for each ETERNUS Disk storage system and check the network environment settings.

The telnet connection and the Maintenance connection should be available on the ETERNUS Disk storage system.
