2.3.2 Software Requirements

This section describes the following software requirements:

• Supported operating systems

• Essential software

• Incompatible software

2.3.2.1 Supported Operating Systems

The operating system of the server on which to install Storage Cruiser's agent must be one of the following.
Also, when using Storage Cluster Controller, install Storage Cruiser's agent on the operating system described in "For Windows Environment".

*1: On a 64 bit operating system, this product runs as a 32 bit application on the WOW64 (Windows 32 bit On Windows 64 bit) subsystem.
*2: The Server Core installation option and the Nano Server installation option are not supported.
*3: Guest OS is not supported in a Hyper-V environment. However, only the Storage Cluster Controller can be used for guest OSs in a Hyper-V environment.

*1: Supported only within the global zone.
*2: Change the environment/TZ property of the svc:/system/environment:init SMF service instance of the operating system to the appropriate timezone name and refresh the service. After that, reboot the operating system.

1	SNIA HBA API library	Necessary for managing RAID devices with Storage Cruiser. Prepare the required libraries for the HBA and OS versions being used. Additionally, the preparation methods vary depending on the HBA and driver versions. Refer to "6.1.3 SNIA HBA API Library Installation (Excluding HP-UX)" for details.

For HP-UX Environment

There is no essential software.

2.3.2.3 Incompatible Software

Storage Cruiser's agent cannot be used on servers that have any of the following software installed.
