In order to perform site switchover transparently for ROR console users, when connecting to the admin server from the ROR console, perform either one of the following operations for the IP address and the host name (FQDN) of the admin server used for connecting the ROR console with the admin server.
Assign the same IP address for the ROR console connection network on the admin servers of the switchover source and destination sites, and make the FQDN of the admin servers the same
In order to avoid overlap of IP addresses, do not connect the admin servers on the switchover source site and destination sites to the same network at the same time.
Assign different IP addresses for the ROR console connection network on the admin servers of the switchover source and destination sites, and make the FQDN of the admin servers the same
When using the same admin LAN IP address for the admin server between sites, use an IP address of the ROR console connection network other than one from the admin LAN.
For prerequisites for using the same admin LAN IP address for the admin server between sites, refer to "2.6.2 Items to be Matched between the Switchover Source and Destination Sites".
Configure the IP address of the ROR console connection network for the admin server on the switchover source site as the IP address to which the FQDN of the DNS server connects. Upon site switchover, modify the DNS server settings, and switch this IP address to that of the ROR console connection network for the admin server on the switchover destination site.
These operations can only be performed when switching over the sites.
When switching over the tenants, connect to the network by specifying the FQDN of the admin server.
