This section explains how to collect and delete cloning images.
When the OS is Linux
Delete the line starting with "HWADDR=" defined in "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX (the X represents a number)", before collecting images.
On Redhat Enterprise Linux 6, the information for the MAC address is also registered in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules.
Delete the virtual network interface definition information for /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules, before collecting images.
When the OS is Windows
Resource Orchestrator collects cloning images using Sysprep.
When using MAK license authentication for activation in the following OSs, Sysprep can be executed a maximum of three times.
Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Cloning images cannot be collected four times or more from L-Servers to which cloning images have been deployed.
Collect cloning images by creating a dedicated L-Server for cloning image collection.
